SunGrow Parakeet Toy, Brightly Colored Hanging Toy Made of Rattan, Wood and Shredded Paper, for Small and Medium Parrots, Cockatiels, Lovebirds and Finches (1 Piece)

Product description

Why is it Important for Birds to do Beak Exercise?

In their original habitat, birds perform several physical activities including pecking and chewing which keeps their beak from being overgrown. An overgrown beak is like an overgrown nail of a human being which can injure. For the birds who are pets, it is up to their owner to provide them with a variety of toys to help keep their beaks trim. Since the Star Shredder Bird Toy is colorful and attractive, they like to peck, chew and tap their beak at it, which helps them keep it in the perfect shape and size.

What Makes This Shredder Bird Toy so Unique?

By combining a variety of textures, density and color, the foraging star bird toy from SunGrow activates multiple senses mentally and physically. The super fun cage toy has wood shapes for birds to peck or small pets to chew and a playful bell to jingle. Brightly colored strips of crinkled paper stick out ready for your pet to pull out and play with. Interactive toys like the star shredder encourage birds to think about their food, keeping their minds sharp. Providing entertainment helps restrain preening and pecking at other birds because they have something more exciting to focus on.

How Do I Use the Paper Shredder Hanging Toy?

The SunGrow Star Shredder Pet Toy is actually quite easy to add to your pet’s habitat. For caged pet birds, the best way to use the foraging toy is to hang it from the center of your bird cage using the attached quick link. It can also simply be placed on the floor of your small mammal enclosure. Add a little excitement by putting a few treats in the middle of the rattan ball, giving your pet something extra fun to work for.

What Type of Pets is the Star Shredder Appropriate for?

All of the materials used in crafting the foraging toy are edible for your birds and certain other pets. Approximately 6 inches by 9 inches, the pecking toy is particularly great for small to medium sized birds. (It is not recommended for large birds.) Feathered friends such as cockatiels, lovebirds, finches, canaries, budgies and parakeets are perfect matches. It can also be used as a chew toy for rabbits, cats, chinchillas, guinea pigs and rats.
